FC Admira Wacker Mödling

The BSFZ-Arena, formerly known as the Bundesstadion Südstadt, is one of the oldest stadia currently in use in the top levels of Austrian football. Admira are a modest-sized club nowadays but they've been a powerhouse in the past with 9 league titles and 6 Austrian cups to their name - with the last triumphs being a league-cup double back in 1966. Despite the name of the club the stadium isn't actually in the town of Mödling, but in the neighbouring settlement of Maria Enzersdorf.
Opened in 1967, and located just to the south of Vienna's border, the stadium has hosted three ÖFB-Cup finals as well as European royalty such as Inter Milan (who Admira beat 1-0 in 1973 in the UEFA Cup 1st Round) throughout its existence.
The stadium is certainly showing its age, and is quite exposed to the elements on windy/rainy days, but it boasts one of the nicest match day atmospheres in the Bundesliga including a brass band (no, really!) and a friendly bunch of fans. The most fervent of these supporters you'll find the Clubraum located on the Nordkurve where you can expect a pleasant welcome. 
If you're into a bit of local culture, there's numerous Heurigers (a traditional Austrian wine restaurant) within a short walking distance of the ground, the town of Mödling is a very pleasant visit and there's the Liechtenstein Castle close by too! All-in-all, this is one of our favourite grounds to visit in the Austrian Bundesliga - so you should visit too.

The club's run in the Bundesliga came to an end in 2022, but in Liga Zwa it'll still be worth a visit if you're looking for some football local to Vienna.

How to get there? 

The best way to reach the stadium using public transport from Vienna is via the Badner Bahn (or  Wiener Lokalbahn), a train-tram service, which begins opposite the Vienna Opera House and takes you to within 200 metres of the BSFZ-Arena at the stop "Maria Enzersdorf Südstadt". If train travel is more your thing, Mödling and Brunn-Maria Enzersdorf train stations are both a 30-minute walk away.  

Tickets 

You'll be able to easily buy tickets on match day from one of the kiosks in the main stand as Admira rarely come close to selling out, although give yourself some time before kick-off - particularly for games against the Vienna clubs.
